Originally from Greystones, Stephen learnt to play golf in Delgany golf club where in 1993 he was a member of the Irish Schoolboys team. In 1996 Stephen began a two year U.S. golf scholarship in West Virginia where he won two tournaments on the College circuit. Turning Professional in 2002, Stephen trained at Powerscourt golf club. During this period he won the 2007 Kilcock Pro-Am.
Prior to his arrival at Enniscorthy GC Stephen was the Head Professional at Charlesland GC.

Each individuals swing and build are different, therefore careful attention must be paid to areas like shaft flex, shaft length and lie angle.
