Enniscorthy Golf Club welcomes societies and organised groups throughout the year. Our team will help coordinate your tee times, arrival, competition arrangements and clubhouse experience.

Enjoy a well-maintained course with mature trees, excellent greens and a layout suitable for varied abilities.

Society play is managed through a dedicated time sheet, normally using three-ball or four-ball groups.

Plan your outing in four steps

Provide your preferred date, estimated player numbers and hospitality requirements.

Confirm the Booking

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required within two weeks of confirmation.

Finalise Numbers

Confirm expected numbers three weeks before and final numbers one week beforehand.

Arrive Early

The organiser should attend at least 30 minutes before the first tee time and report to the Starter.

Important information

Conditions for visiting societies

All society bookings are subject to club rules, local rules and booking conditions. Organisers should read these carefully before confirming an outing.

25% Deposit

A non-refundable deposit is required within two weeks of booking confirmation.

Final Numbers

Confirm expected numbers three weeks before and final numbers one week beforehand.

Organiser Present

The organiser must arrive at least 30 minutes before tee-off and supervise the group’s departure.

1. Club and governing-body rules
Societies must comply with the relevant governing-body rules and Enniscorthy Golf Club’s Rules and Local Rules. The €700 retail limit on prizes for an event of two rounds or fewer must be observed.
2. Tee times, group formats and pace of play
A time sheet will control tee-off times. Play may be in three-ball or four-ball groups at eight- or ten-minute intervals. Groups must avoid slow play and allow faster matches through.
3. Course Marshal
A Course Marshal may ask slow groups to move on to the next tee where necessary.
4. Starting times and confirmation of numbers
Starting and finishing times must be observed. Confirm numbers three weeks before the reserved date and provide final confirmation one week beforehand.
5. Variance in player numbers
An allowance of up to three fewer players than booked is permitted. A €40-per-person variance charge may apply beyond that allowance.
6. Deposit requirement
A non-refundable deposit of 25% must be paid within two weeks of booking confirmation. The club may cancel a booking where the deposit is not received.
7. Society organiser’s arrival
The organiser must attend at least 30 minutes before tee-off and identify themselves to the Club Starter.
8. Supervision of the outing
The organiser or nominated representative must supervise the outing until all members have teed off or the reserved time has expired.
9. Weather and unusual circumstances
The club may cancel or shorten a booking because of unusual circumstances, adverse weather or course conditions.
10. Starting tee and markers
Play must begin from the first tee and use the markers of the day unless otherwise directed.
11. One round included
A society booking includes one 18-hole round per player. Additional rounds are charged at the full applicable rate.
12. Competition-book inspection
The club may inspect the society competition book to reconcile player numbers.
13. Payment of fees
All fees must be paid before the final group leaves the first tee.
14. Return of qualifying scorecards
Scorecards that equal or better the Standard Scratch Score must be returned to the player’s home club.
15. Reporting scores
Scores must be reported in accordance with the applicable governing-body rules and bye-laws.
16. Liability and insurance
The club does not accept liability for personal injury or loss of or damage to property. Societies should ensure appropriate public and personal liability cover.
17. Advertising material
Advertising material may only be displayed on or off the course with prior club approval.
18. Dress code and local rules
The organiser is responsible for compliance with the Rules of Golf, local rules and the club dress code. View the Dress Code.
